Just after 8:30am on Thursday February 24, the Red Bank Fire Department responded to a reported gas leak on Broad Street. 68 set up command after it was confirmed that a contractor struck a gas line during excavation for road work. Broad Street was ordered evacuated until New Jersey Natural Gas sealed the leak by 10:15am.  Units 91, 93, 94, 95, 96, Rescue 2, and Fire Police responded.
