On Saturday April 22, 2023, the Red Bank Fire Department Chiefs and representatives of the Marine Unit met with Chan Irwin to receive a generous donation. Mr. Irwin presented a donation of $15,000 to support the Marine Unit on behalf of himself and his family. This donation provides the funds needed to install a new pump for the boat's waterway. Further, this completes the capital campaign started in 2022 to fully refurbish the Marine Unit and return it to the water. In total, with the support of Red Bank residents, businesses, and individuals like Mr. Irwin and Mr. Catena, the Department raised $60,000 for this project. This will help ensure a safer Navesink River for both Red Bank as well as our surrounding communities.
