On January 30th Engine 94 was requested in to Little Silver for a gas leak. A full compliment of firefighters responded with Chief 66 to help our brothers and sisters to the south.

On Sunday, January 26, 2025, the Union House Company (95) conducted an extrication drill at Red Bank Recycling. Working with multiple cars, the members trained on extrication equipment as part of the Department's commitment to be ready to serve the community. The entire Red Bank Fire Department thanks Red Bank Recycling for its continued support and generosity.

On 11/12 and 11/21, the members of the Navesink Hook & Ladder made trips to the Monmouth County Fire Academy for training in live fire conditions. On November 12, members trained on Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search (VEIS) evolutions from both a ground ladder and the aerial ladder under live smoke and heat conditions. On November 21, the Hook & Ladder teamed up with our friends at Westside Hose Company for a live fire burn drill. Members performed search, rescue, and fire extinguishment evolutions in live fire conditions. The members of both companies travelled to continue training to benefit the community after long days at work.

On the morning of Saturday November 16, the Red Bank Fire Department responded to a power line fire that spread into the Department of Public Utilities yard and along the NJ Transit Railroad Tracks. Responding units, 91, 93, 95, 96, 66, and 67 contained the fire quickly and monitored the power lines until the fire was fully out and JCPL could respond.

On the morning of October 27, 2024, the Hook and Ladder conducted an extrication drill at Red Bank Recycling. Operating with the equipment from both Ladder 91 and Tower 90, the membership conducted multiple scenarios utilizing three cars. The training is part of the commitment the Department's volunteers have made to always be at the ready for any scenario to best serve the Red Bank community.

The membership would like to thank Red Bank Recycling for its continued support of the Red Bank Fire Department. Their generosity has been a staple in assisting the Department in meeting its training goals for decades.

On Sunday October 20, 2024 the Red Bank Fire Department participated in the town's 76th Annual Halloween Parade. In partnership with Red Bank Parks and Recreation and Red Bank Rivercenter, the Chief's, Fire Police, Truck 90, Truck 91, Engine 93, Engine 94, Engine 96, and the Rehab Unit all participated. As is tradition, the children of Red Bank marched with the Department.

On the afternoon of October 11, 2024, before a large crowd of colleagues, residents, and family, Michael Frazee was sworn in as Red Bank's new Chief of Police. Chief Frazee has served the Borough for over thirty years, including as a member of Union Hose Company. The Department was honored to be asked to serve flag detail in raising its American flag between Ladder 91 and Tower 90 to celebrate the occasion. The entire Department congratulates Chief Frazee and affirms its support as he steps into this new role.

On Monday September 23, 2024, the Middletown Fire Academy celebrated the graduation of its most recent class of volunteer firefighters. Red Bank Fire Department's Breanna Hartman was among the graduates and is a current active member of Independent Hose Company, also known as Engine 93. Breanna is the daughter of three-time RBFD Fire Chief Wayne Hartman, who had the honor of bestowing her Firefighter Certificate. Breanna carries on a tradition in the Borough of Red Bank where families have multiple generations serve the community in the volunteer fire service.

The Red Bank Fire Department continues its outreach to the greater Red Bank community for volunteers. There is a place for both active firefighters and support members. The first step is to send an inquiry throught the "Join Us" link on this website.

Active Firefighters: If you are already certified, it is a quick process to have you join. If you have no training, the Department will sponsor you to attend the fire academy at no expense to you.

Support Members: All companies, and the Department, have need for support in administrative tasks including fundraising, event planning, book keeping, webpage support, outreach, and more. If you have a way to contribute to the Department, there is a non-firematic place for you to contribute. Please send an inquiry.
