On 11/12 and 11/21, the members of the Navesink Hook & Ladder made trips to the Monmouth County Fire Academy for training in live fire conditions. On November 12, members trained on Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search (VEIS) evolutions from both a ground ladder and the aerial ladder under live smoke and heat conditions. On November 21, the Hook & Ladder teamed up with our friends at Westside Hose Company for a live fire burn drill. Members performed search, rescue, and fire extinguishment evolutions in live fire conditions. The members of both companies travelled to continue training to benefit the community after long days at work.
