On the morning of November 15, 2023, the RBFD was called to an apartment fire at Evergreen Terrace. Upon arrival, Engine 95 made entry to the unit to suppress the fire. It was confirmed that the fire, caused by an overheating power strip, resulted in the death of a resident. Responding units included Chiefs 66, 67, 68; fire police, Engines 93, 95, 96 and Ladder 91.
